In this photo is shown a segment of a dead insect’s wet wing. Taken slightly out of focus, it rendered these countless, incredible bokeh discs from the little water beads not only in the wing, but also the pavement background (bottom right).
I love bokeh, and I love color. This photo of a tree in downtown Charleston, SC got both!
This spider’s web is very erratic and disorderly compared to that of others, but it appears to be no less functional. It seems like the spider is very much in control of his creation and anything that might enter it.
I have always loved the little light ‘disks’ of bokeh. This effect creates a sense of magic in photographs and reminds me of fairy tales and pixies.
