Last year I went on a walk that lead up a hill and through an ocean of colorful azalea shrubs, far away from the ocean. There it was right next to my foot as I stopped to take a photo. I almost stepped on it, but its unusual blue color jumped out at me among the pale sand and gravel that formed the trail. Here is my beautiful find, a little seashell from the most unlikely place, and I believe it has a ‘cousin‘ in Ireland.
This is the last one of four pouches, along with the ones featured previously in my series ‘Of Nature and Handmade Items’, that I made for a group of friends and beautiful, young female professionals in San Francisco, California. The pouches are now on their way to their new owners. I hope that they’ll enjoy having and using them as much as I did creating them!
