Photographic Journal: Shift Work

I was once told at Middleton Plantation that “everyone here works, including the animals”. This healthy looking cat named Arthur (after Arthur Middleton) seemed to be the exception. When you visit the plantation, chances are you will find him hanging around the potter’s shop sunning himself or sleeping. But don’t be fooled! Actually, Arthur works 2nd and 3rd shift. When the others go home, he reports to work. A couple of days ago, I stayed after closing and came across Arthur while he was in the middle of performing his job.
