Inspired by my Tree Project, I collected fall leaves from miscellaneous trees, dried them, and photographed them to draw them later with colored pencils. This drawing of a leaf which I found under a tree in front of Charleston’s City Gallery is the first result of my efforts.
Just incredible.
Thank you so much, Peter!
This is a wonderful drawing! Full of life, and I think that’s not always so easy with colored pencils.
Thanks so much, bluebrightly! It can get a bit tedious, but I love the results with colored pencils. It’s my new favorite medium.
This is amazing… Is it really your picture and not the photo?
Thank you, wildsherkin! You are too kind! When I first started to paint, I used acrylic. Only recently I began to experiment with colored pencils. Now I am hooked. 🙂
